Super Astro-Bot

·282 words·2 mins

I finished the Mini Flying Robot tutorial from Omnis School using Astro-Bot as a reference. In terms of animation, I also took some liberties. For the scrolling background, I chose an aerial view from Poly Haven, and I had in mind the flight sequence from James Gunn’s recent Superman movie, something close to the character and very dynamic.

To enhance the scrolling effect, I used a gobo light with a noise texture that varies depending on the animation to give the impression that the sun is shining through the clouds. And here is the result.

I’m not sure what the next step will be, but it will probably involve more rigging, most likely with Omnis School again, especially since it worked well, unlike the lamp. But I think I understand why now.

And after Godzilla, let’s go on with the Mothermonster saga with King Kong, which isn’t as good, but still has its moments and, most importantly, this awesome photo. And now I’m rewatching season 1 of Monarch.

Kong: Skull Island

Kong: Skull Island 2017 ★★½

Moins bon que son prédécesseur, mais laisse en tête quelques images assez marquantes, au moins un combat de titans spectaculaires et une bande originale d'époque aux petits oignons.
